The founder of the WB Moore Company, Bruce Moore, was a visionary - independent and inventive. That's how Susan Moore described her husband in a 1990 Moore Company newsletter. When Bruce realized in 1978 that organized electrical contracting had become too bureaucratic to function efficiently, he set out to create a company that was innovative and flexible enough to respond rapidly to changes in the marketplace. With a team chosen for their initiative and intelligence, he formed a company that elevated merit shop electrical contracting from the 'rat shop' level to recognized, professional performance. This was accomplished because Bruce's team had certain valuable qualities: independence, initiative, intelligence, creativity, integrity and flexibility. Each team member was carefully chosen as a vital part of a growing company. In return for their talents, each was given the authority to fully exercise those talents. And they were given Bruce's unfailing loyalty.
Bruce believed in his dream, and fought hard to bring it to life. His wife, Susan, fought hard with him because she believed in Bruce Moore. Bruce lived to see his dream become a reality but because of his untimely passing in 1988, thankfully, did not foresee the fading of his dream. After his passing Susan continued to fight to keep Bruce's dream alive but despite her sacrifices and hard work, due to circumstances beyond anyone's control the Moore Company eventually closed it's doors in 1993.

History:
Those of us who were a part of the Moore team don't think of the the WB Moore Company as past history. We were family and we still are. When the Moore company closed its doors we were all grief stricken just as anyone might be after the complete disintegration of their family unit. We all, necessarily, went our separate ways but we never forgot our brothers and sisters from the Moore Company. We never pass up a chance to talk about the good ol' days!
